Definition:

An air cooled condenser (ACC) is a direct dry cooling system which do not require cooling water, where gas or steam is condensed inside air-cooled finned tubes. The cool ambient air flow outside the finned tubes is what removes heat and defines the functionality of an ACC.
How an Air Cooled Condenser Works:
1. Hot Vapor Inlet: Exhaust steam or refrigerant vapor enters the condenser tubes.
2. Air Cooling: Ambient air is forced (by fans) or drawn naturally over finned tubes, removing heat from the vapor.
3. Condensation: The vapor cools and condenses into liquid.
4. Liquid Collection: The condensed liquid (water or refrigerant) is collected and recirculated.

2. Axial or Forced-Draft Fans: Move air across the tubes.
